Vacation is Over
Hey now, what’s good with you? All is well on my end. My trip to London was a blast- I ended up staying a couple extra days in Europe and went to Paris for a day. Both London and Paris were two of the coolest cities I’ve ever been to- right up there with Shanghai and Sao Paulo. The thing that surprised me about Paris was how friendly the French people were. It was my first time there and I had heard horror stories from friends and family about how rude French people were- honestly, we had nothing but great interactions. It goes to show you that stereotypes aren’t always true (by the way, I apologize to my British fans out there for my comment about British people’s teeth).
But after returning from Europe I realized that my summer “vacations” were over- granted none lasted for more than three or four days and I always found time to work out. With less than a month to go before the season starts it’s time to get ready for a long season. Several of the Magic players are back and we have had a couple of informal team workouts this week. It’s fun to be playing with these guys again- and I’m looking forward to everyone getting back in town.
Ok, so a while back I answered a political question by saying that I didn’t know who I was going to vote for in the upcoming Presidential election. Well, I’ve been paying attention to the conventions and I also read the recent book, “Obama Nation.” Granted, athletes aren’t supposed to be politically outspoken so I’ll keep my opinions to myself (for now). But I will let y’all know that I have already decided who I’m going to vote for. I’m not going to tell you who it is but I will share a funny video with you guys. I came across this short clip from ABC News in which this reporter describes Obama’s parents . History indeed. As the election gets closer and I actually know what the heck I’m talking about I might discuss politics on here haha.

Yes I guessed who you are voting for, but will not say. Though I think that you should read what factcheck says about the book “Obama Nation”.

This is an interesting article that you should read, but I know it won’t change your mind (btw I am not an Obama supporter).
And no you don’t have to post this comment though I do hope that you read the link that I provided. Open minds show great promise within a great nation.

Come on, JJ! We want to know who you’re voting for! Many athletes and members of Hollywood are extremely outspoken about their political views, so we could at least know who you’re voting for. We all love you already, so I’d almost promise it wouldn’t change anyone’s view of you. Thank you for the time you take to update this website personally. I very much enjoy your blogs, Q/A’s, etc. You are a fantastic individual.

Obama is quite the medical marvel. I’m actually glad that you have decided to start discussing politics on your blog. I know some people have a problem with athletes discussing their political views but it is different because it is on your blog. It isn’t like you are going to wear political buttons on your uniform during games. Also, you are highly educated and you are obviously taking great care to investigate each candidate before making a decision. It is a really great that you are being such a positive role model for young voters. Hopefully you will inspire them to learn the facts and chose a candidate that they can support as well.

Hey, JJ! That’s great that you had an awesome time on your trip. Europe and Paris sound like they would be awesome too. You know, I think me and you should go on a trip together sometime ;) . I remember when you went to Shanghai with the rest of the Magic last year. That’s cool that the French people were really nice.
I can’t wait for basketball season and training camp to start because I really want to see you get a lot of minutes and show off your amazing basketball and also more pictures of you will be released on the internet and I haven’t saved any to my computer in a while. I have a HUGE stash of pictures of you. Not trying to creep you out or anything lol.
I’m not really a fan of politics myself and I’m sorry but I don’t like Obama at all.
Okay, completely random, but I saw the Dark Knight for the second time a week ago and I decided that it’s my favorite movie ever.

JJ! There are 2 people running for President and there are books about and by both. One candidate is an “Empty Suit” striving to be President with speeches and NO Deeds. The other one is a True American hero that brings years of experience in 2 wars. One is in Washington…you figure out where the other war was.
Now! After you make the CORRECT Vote…get back to work and get some playing time this year. If you can’t,then keepup the good work to get a trade or a release! You can make it in the NBA, but not with a team that wont allow you a chance to prove that.
There’s some BIG Bucks in europe and it’s no secret that most teams there would take you in a heart beat.
