I appreciate the responses to my last blog- wanted to hit you guys back with some responses to your top 5 requests that I haven’t talked about on here before. So here we go:
Top 5 “Best Teammates”: This list is not necessarily the five best players I’ve played with but the five best “teammates” I’ve had.
1) Shelden Williams
2) Sean Dockery
3) Chris Duhon
4) Keyon Dooling
5) My entire Cave Spring High School team
Top 5 “Basketball Moments”: I assume the person requesting this was talking about moments in my career.
1) My three-point shot against Miami to break the Duke scoring record.
2) Winning the Virginia AAA State Championship my senior year of high school.
3) Winning the ACC Championship my freshman, junior, and senior years.
4) Sean Dockery’s buzzer-beater versus Va. Tech.
5) Making my first NBA basket against the Hawks during my rookie year.
Top 5 “Comedians”: Ok, so I don’t know if this was meant to be stand-up comedians or actors in comedies. In any case, all of these people are funny.
1) Will Ferrell- Anchorman. Old School. And he was on SNL. Enough said.
2) Vince Vaughn- Swingers. Enough said.
3) Dave Chappelle- loved his show on Comedy Central. I also saw his stand-up routine in Atlantic City a couple years ago- it was hilarious.
4) Jonah Hill/Michael Cera- I put them together because of their performance in Superbad.
5) My dad- no one understands and relates to my sense of humor better than my pops. He always makes me laugh.
Top 5 “Arenas I’ve Played In”: Ok, I’ll include high school, college, and NBA in this one.
1) Cameron Indoor Stadium- I’ve had so many memories and great games in that place.
2) Madison Square Garden- My love of the “World’s Most Famous Arena” began in high school when I played in the McDonald’s All-American game in MSG. We played there a bunch in college and it’s my favorite NBA arena to play in. The history of that place is incredible.
3) Dean Dome- We were 2-2 in the Dean Dome during my career at Duke but no matter the outcome the games and atmosphere were always fantastic.
4) American Airlines (Dallas)- I only have played there a couple times but its one of the nicest arenas in the NBA and Dallas fans are very, very loud.
5) Vines Center (Liberty University)- I only played there once but it was the State Championship my senior year of high school and I had a career high 43 points.
Top 5 “Hottest Chicks of All Time”: Again, I’m making another assumption on this one but I assume the person that request this was talking about celebrities so I’m only going to include celebrities on this list.
1) Carrie Underwood
2) Elizabeth Shue in the movie “Cocktail”
3) Eva Mendes
4) Sophia Bush
5) Adriana Lima
Ok, that’s it for now. Hope y’all enjoyed. Talk to you soon.

JJ… I saw you break the record, that was my fav. sports moment ever too.

Hi Jonathan Clay,
It’s me, the blonde from Detroit (three rows up at your last post-season game iagainst the Pistons). Although an avid Pistons fan, I must say you are beautiful and talented and I too am sorry the Magic has not given you more playing time. I agree, “Play me or trade me.” Someone with your talent should be in the line-up hammerin three’s like the Duke days. The total package! I might be able to pull some strings with Dumars in Detroit :) Hopefully you are enjoying some home cooked meals or retreating on a deserted island during the off-season. If you’re not and want to come to D town to watch the Eastern Conference finals, let me know smokey joe. Hope our paths cross again.

J.J., how can you give no love to Jessica Simpson…that hurts me haha
Wayne Wright | on 7/5/08
JJ,
Good luck in the playoffs! It’s great to see you in the NBA! Take Care Hoop Dreams!

DEREK JETER IS SO SEXY NEXT TO YOU OF COURSE. AND A GUY NAMED WILLIAM
Maggie | on 27/4/08
Okay, JJ, seriously, WTF? I’m talking about the girls on “Top Five Hottest Chicks Ever” list. They’re not attractive at all. They’re plain looking and ugly. Carrie Underwood sounds like a dying cow when she sings and didn’t deserve to be the American Idol. There were so much better people than her on American Idol the season she was on. I mean how could Carrie Underwood beat Chris Daughtry? Anyway, those girls aren’t attractive AT ALL in the least. Well, at least you didn’t put like Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, or anyone like that. I know I’m a girl, but I think that Amy Lee (lead singer from my second favorite band ever Evanescence) is very pretty and loads prettier than all those stupid girls you put.
So my top “hottest guy ever”...
1. JJ Redick
2. JJ Redick
3. JJ Redick
4. JJ Redick
5. JJ Redick
yep you’re the only hott guy out there. But there’s other sorta attractive guys like David Archuleta from American Idol this year and Gerard Way (lead singer of my favorite band EVER My Chemical Romance). Oh, and Jordan Davidson is cute too haha. I HATE Zac Efron. He’s actually not attractive in the least to me. Same with the Jonas Brothers and all those other Disney Channel bands and people that all these 5 year olds obsess over. I don’t know what’s so great about them.
So enough of my long comment. Sorry mine are always so long.
Hope to here from you soon
Love you more than Juliet loves Romeo,
~Maggie

P.S. sorry my comments are always so long :(

Okay…here are my top 5 Celebrity Hunks!!
1) Tom Welling – Total Hottie!! I get lost in those eyes.
2) Derek Jeter – Do pinstripes make the man or does the man make the pinstripes?
3) JJ Redick – Down to earth Hottie with skillz and a charming smile
4) Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black – Love a vulnerable man all dressed up just smilin at ya
5) Matthew McConaughey – Beautifully Shirtless in just about every movie he is in.
Congrats on the playoffs, and all of the playing time you got at the end of the season!

I think you are truely amazing. What are your top five moments with Duke and Coach K? Where do all of your records, getting your number 4 jersey retired on the 4th of Febuary, and all of your amazing contributions to victories rate?
pong | on 23/4/08

Rachael | on 21/4/08
P.S. All of those girls on your top 5 are short! What’s wrong with tall girls? Honestly if NBA players are out of the picture, where is a 5’11” girl ever supposed to turn to!
Rachael | on 21/4/08
Top 5 aside, I wanted to comment that your performance in the last season game was amazing. I find myself questioning my patronage to the Pistons, because of you, on somewhat of a regular basis. Perhaps you should institute a trade? In all seriousness it was a great game. The only downside was that it was nearly impossible to pay attention to the game when you weren’t on the court. I don’t mean to sound like every other female on the planet, but it would be helpful if you A)were less sexy or, B)cloned yourself.
Since neither are realistic, you should at least revel in your appeal to the greatest extent possible.
Good luck in the playoffs.. and when you play the Pistons (which I assume is how it will turn out) know that you are cause for a traitor!!
tommy rooney | on 21/4/08

Amy | on 17/4/08
Thank God Dane Cook is not on your top 5 comedians list! Now, I’d rather shoot my foot with a nailgun than to hear Dane screaming his “jokes”. In fact, I’d shoot my other foot too. Heh.
My apologies to anyone who is a Dane Cook fan.
Carrie rocks! Woo!
Sarah Gray | on 17/4/08
Congrats on your 18 points last night! Maybe you can play more. I hope so because I’m one of your biggest fans.
Christna | on 17/4/08
Hey, you are a truly gifted athlete! I am a lifelong Duke fan and absolutely loved watching you play. I have been a huge fan of yours ever since. Your work ethic and how you play with so much heart and instensity is more than admirable and you have been a huge role model for me, a fellow basketball player. I also enjoyed your poetry that was released awhile back and was wondering if you still write? also, have you ever thought of publishing your work?
Thanks for being such an inspiration and I wish you the best of luck in your career!
Dee | on 17/4/08
Oh thank God you didn’t put someone tacky like Pamela Anderson on your chick list!!
Nick | on 17/4/08
Hi JJ, just checked the scores from last nights game, im a massive fan of ya over here in england, and just wanted to say congrats on the career high 18 points.
Liz | on 17/4/08
You were AWESOME last night! So glad you got some decent time in.
Oh and by the way, couldn’t you have just taken the jersey off during the fan appreciation giveaway instead of tugging at it like a tease? haha
Good luck in the Playoffs!
Scott | on 16/4/08
Congrats! on getting a chance in the season finale, and proving to everyone that you can play! would love to see you get a chance in Denver. Good Luck in the future.

Rochelle | on 16/4/08
I think Michael Cera is hilarious. Did you ever watch him on the show Arrested Development? If not, you should check it out on DVD. From the way your sense of humor comes across, I think you would really enjoy it! He plays a kid named George Micheal. Just classic. What are your top 5 favorite TV shows of all time?
Samantha | on 15/4/08

Kirby | on 15/4/08
I am so excited to see that you put Sophia Bush in your top 5. For me personally she is number 1, but anything will do. Good luck in the playoffs.
damien | on 15/4/08
I just saw the box score from the Hawks and Magic game. 11 points in 12 minutes. Looks like you made the most of your playing time! Way to go. They’re gonna need you in the playoffs man.
Claire | on 15/4/08
So I’ve recently been watchin your show on espn the life w/ amare, melo, and shav, during your senior year of high school. I’d love to know what you think and remember about that experience. Might I just say I loved the scene where yall talk about your nicknames. Also, do you think you’re going to make it to any Duke games next year, and will you be down there again to play pick up ball with the players in the summer? As for a top 5 request I’d love to know your favorite places to eat, and your favorite places to shop. Oh and another fun one…top 5 NBA teams you wish you could play for instead of the magic…kidding!
Enter your name... | on 15/4/08
Did you have a girlfriend in college while playing basketball?
Sarah Gray | on 15/4/08
Who is you favorite player on the Orlando Magic?
LML | on 15/4/08
Great Top 5’s. However, very interesting that you have Keyon Dooling in your top 5 for best “teammates” from your current crop of teammates on the Orlando squad. Have any great story about the two of you that you can share?
diana | on 15/4/08
i cant believe im not not on their for hottest chicks. but all your top 5 are great!!!
Jordan | on 14/4/08
Thanks for the quick response. I’m with you on Carrie Underwood. She’s gorgeous.
Take it Easy JJ

Megan | on 14/4/08
I agree…i loved Jonah Hill and Michael Cera in Superbad. I really want to see Juno because I just love Michael Cera’s humor….and we played our district tournament championships every year at the Vine’s Center and it is a pretty cool place to play in, one of the most biggest gyms I’ve played in, but I’m sure it was a lot fuller for ya’lls state championship lol…and yes I was happy to see Immelmen pull out the win in the Masters. Someone else needed a chance to win besdies Tiger, but I still like watching him play too!...anyways hope all is well:)
Pray for the Hokies this week and for our 32 angels!

That Top 5 Arenas list got me thinking, lets hear your Top 5 most obnoxious students from your time at Duke (assuming Maryland will be at the top…)
