Hey now, what’s good with you? All is well on my end. My trip to London was a blast- I ended up staying a couple extra days in Europe and went to Paris for a day. Both London and Paris were two of the coolest cities I’ve ever been to- right up there with Shanghai and Sao Paulo. The thing that surprised me about Paris was how friendly the French people were. It was my first time there and I had heard horror stories from friends and family about how rude French people were- honestly, we had nothing but great interactions. It goes to show you that stereotypes aren’t always true (by the way,...

Hey now, just wanted to give y’all a quick hello and update. I was up in Philadelphia for a few days this week spending time working out/bonding with my teammates. Jameer always puts on a good week of workouts and activities for everybody- we went bowling, went to a Phillies game, and played pick-up games. It was a lot of fun. When we were at the Phillies game we got to take some batting practice in their BP tunnel from some of their assistant coaches. These NBA guys have the most uncoordinated swings I’ve ever seen (i.e. Brian Cook, Courtney Lee, etc.). Rashard Lewis got some good whacks in but even his swing was…

Although I’ve known for a week and I have told her congratulations in person, I want to say congrats to my little sister, Abby, on committing to play basketball for the Virginia Tech Hokies. In case you want to read more, here’s an article on her commitment. With her commitment that means that all five of my parents’ kids got full Division 1 athletic scholarships coming out of high school. Not bad at all. Abby also has a knee injury and is having surgery later this week- please pray for a successful operation and a speedy recovery.
In other news, I had braces put on my teeth today. I know, I’m 24…

Hey there, hope all is well out there with you guys. I just returned from a week at the beach with my family in South Carolina. We had quite a nice time- it was the first time the whole family has been together since the birth of my niece (who by the way is growing daily and is starting to laugh and smile). It was a nice break for me- after two months of training I needed a week to let my body relax (although I did lift and run during the week it wasn’t as high intensity as I’ve been doing). I spent some time on the beach and got a tan. I also…

Q: I’ve heard about possibly starting to give fines and technical fouls to players for flopping in the NBA. In soccer you get a yellow card for it. How prevalent do you think flopping is in the NBA and what should be done to crack down on it?
A: Look, in my opinion, flopping is part of the game and should not be penalized in any way, shape, or form. Determining if someone “flopped” is a subjective process so how can you fine a player because someone thinks they “flopped”? It doesn’t make sense to me. Not only that, but I don’t think flopping is prevalent. It happens here and there but it shouldn’t…
